Brought 2016 Chevrolet Equinox in for Special coverage N192266181 due to the driver's side wiper inoperable. The passenger side wiper was operable. Sat for 2 1/2 hours and was told that the vehicle did not fall under the Special Coverage and that it will need a motor and total price to repair was $475.00. Could not afford to have the vehicle repaired at the moment. I paid the diagnostic fee of $79.94 and the purchased the part for the vehicle which was $131.78, part number 84241847 . I also purchased a screw and retaining pin. Upon returning home, I looked under the hood and noticed that the vehicle was NEVER INSPECTED. In repairing the vehicle, it was found that the ball joints was separated from the front windshield wiper module. Why did James Martin lied to me?

The customer service for the scheduled oil change was done in the usual good, professional manner. But I was deeply disappointed that the disabling of the device(s) that issue demeaning commands to the driver was not performed. This system disables the display panel and denies access to controls over the radio and other services. It is flagrantly insulting and will affect our future car purchase decision.

Car been in service 2x-11 hours and yet has service been able to even "look at" my vehicle. Can't trust what Service Manager Diane says. After the first visit, I was told the electrician was not in. Spoke with Diane to schedule another appointment who said "I'll make certain your vehicle is serviced : and appointment was scheduled. After another appointment,, and no work done after 8 hours. I was told an appointment doesn't guarantee service. Never been to an appointment (medical, dental, service) and not been seen. Even if work couldn't be performed, seems atleast a diagnosis could have ocvurred.

Ms. Lenear, As I advised you at the time of your setting the appointment, it's very hard to guarantee shop time. The specific technician we had wanted to inspect your vehicle is always in demand here at the dealer and with that it was recommended that your vehicle was dropped off. At that point it goes in for his line up which is first come first serve. If he still had vehicles from the previous day that were carried over those vehicles would have been serviced before yours. I apologize that the time line for your inspection was longer than you had anticipated.

I arrived and he service advisors were not being satisfactory in their customer service. A female advisor complained loudly that they were unsure who was next and that customers should have stayed by their vehicles. I did not have an appointment; however, an oil change and tire rotation should not have taken exactly 4 hours! I was estimated a time of 2-3 hours, I explained how I would wait if it was 2 hours seeing that there were other customers. At 3 hours 40 mins, I visited the service counter after leaving the customer waiting area where there was then only 1 customer and I left in the room. The car was parked outside the service center and I approached my advisor and he explained he was waiting on my paperwork. Another worker came and asked if I had been helped and he asked the cashier if my vehicle was ready and she explained that she had the paperwork. After standing waiting 20 minutes to find out I was all set to pay, I was enthralled. This is my second time visiting this dealership and it will be my last. I, again, am not happy with the service of this dealership.

I had an oil leak which turned out to be a defective oil filter from my previous oil change. The leak is what brought me in for service. While there I also had them check the brakes as we were anticipating a brake job in the not too distant future (we had been watching that situation for the last few routine service checks). They were able to do the brakes and fix the oil leak problem and I left with my car the same day. The service rep that checked me in and the manager of the department were both great. They kept me informed along the way.

I was there from 9:20 am to almost 4:30 pm just to get my coolant fan changed and I was told that it was a four our job but I was there for almost 8 hours, why?

Ms. Forrest, I had left a message with you earlier today. The actual install time for your coolant fan was about 4 and a half hours. That does not include the time it took to diagnose the vehicle and acquire the necessary replacement part. You also had a fuel induction service performed which added about another 45 minutes to your service. If in the future, you would prefer we do offer a shuttle service to get you back home or work.

Hello, I do not have words to express how upset I am. Yesterday was totally unacceptable. You have had my car for 7 months and I have been patient and very understanding during this whole time. I can not believe how I the customer was given my keys to go get my own car. Not only that but I the customer had to inspect the car myself. Their was trash all over the passenger car seat and floor. My tire lug kit was on the floor and Mr. Emmanuel had to find it. The car is so dusty from outside to inside. I know for a fact that my car was clean because my father cleaned my car out before the tow truck came and got it to take to your place. I had common courtesy to wash the loaner I had before I brought it back. I have never brought any loaner back dirty. I have had 4 loaners from you all. My tire pressure is at 18 and 19. No gas at all. The fact that I the costumer had alerts on my car and check engine light on had to tell your people. That blows my mind. My engine light was never on before I brought it in. My car is still reading 57,700 miles, the same as it was when I brought it in. How was that not inspected after an engine was put in? I am so upset right now. I am writing a google review on my experience there yesterday and putting it in my social media. I am appalled on how I was treated yesterday as a customer. I spoke to Ms. Dianne on 5/29 and she lied and said that they have been trying to call me since 5/22 due to my car being ready. Is that what you call ready? If so that is horrible!! The first call I got that I missed was 5/27. I called and left message for Mr. Emmanuel on 5/28 and had no phone call back. When I spoke to Ms. Dianne on 5/29 she said I was all set. I told her that I would be there 5/30. Ms. Dianne said before 4 if possible. I told her I would try to come at lunch. I wasn't able to come at lunch and got held up after work. I called her about 4:30 and said I am running behind. I didn't know if I was gonna make it by 6. Ms. Dianne was not happy and told me that she has been waiting on me and my car has been done for a week. I am still not understanding on how you thought that car was ready!!! I paid $262.00 for a battery which still I DO NOT THINK I HAD TO PURCHASE DUE TO MY CAR BEING WITH YOU FOR 7 MONTHS!!! We all know how batteries work and when you just leave a car unattended or not starting it the battery goes out. Ms. Dianne said that she went back to when I brought the car in and said my battery was low at that time. I do not even believe that!!! Dianne just wanted me to pay for something. In the beginning she said I needed 2 parts that were almost $500.00. After giving the ok to order parts come to find out it was the engine. What is going on there at James Martin? Even after paying my money yesterday I left yesterday without my car. I don't even want my car back. I am so dissatisfied with James Martin.

I understand that the facility is busy. I decided to trust the dealership. I'm so used to my other dealership being a little cheaper, and them speaking with me after they are finished with the oil change service. I also wonder if they are rotating my tires every time I go there. I don't believe the tires need to be rotated that frequently. They mark yellow areas on the paperwork and don't give me an estimate about how long I have until those concerns have to be addressed.

Although I understand that the need for your vehicle to be repaired in a timely manner, we do need to schedule appointments for our main shop based on the volume of vehicle that are being serviced. I do understand that we did work your vehicle in for your oil change and filter service, but the check engine lamp would need to be seen by a certified technician. At this current time, we are scheduling about a week out. If your advisor did not make you aware of this at time of write up, I do apologize for the lack of communication and will speak to him. If you wish to set up an appointment for servicing your check engine lamp, I would be more than happy to schedule that. Please be advised that with the column of vehicles we have that time is an approximation of shop availability and no guarantee that service will be completed same day as we are not sure of what the needed repairs will be until it has been properly diagnosed by the technician. I also see you had requested to have your fluid level checked. Your transmission is a sealed system that is recommended to be replaced every 45K- at that time we can check the level it will save you an out-of-pocket expense to have the fluid level checked. I was asked to pay for the parts ($7,000) before they were ordered. The mechanic was great, but management was an all or nothing approach. They said a sign was posted by the cashier, but it was not and even of it had been I never went to the cashier until I picked up my car and paid. WOW! What a great experience! Started off a bit shaky, but everything turned out to be one of the best car buying experiences! I explained what I needed and he went over and above to make sure I was given a fair deal. He did everything in his power to make it happen. I purchased a used Equinox. Within the first week, I noticed an oil leak. Without hesitation, it was taken care of. Not only was it fixed the same day, Paul made sure I was given a loaner to get things done while my car was being serviced. I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the service I experienced during my recent visit to your dealership. I had an appointment and checked in at 11:20 a.m., yet I did not receive my vehicle until after 2:30 p.m. When I inquired about the delay, I was informed that my vehicle had been ready, but no one had told me. A staff member even stated, “Nobody told you your car was ready.” To sit in the dealership for over three hours without any communication or apology is both unacceptable and unprofessional. At no point did anyone acknowledge the inconvenience I experienced. Unfortunately, I also learned that I was not the only customer left waiting for hours, unaware that their vehicle was ready. This experience reflects inferior customer service and left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer.

They didn't inspect the vehicle and lied about it. Came in with a soft tire with a hazard light on the display, which is impossible to miss if you actually look at the car. Specifically asked about the tires while paying, drive out and within a minute get the alert pops back up. Head back and they lied to my face and wasted my time, and made me late to a very important meeting for work. One of the worst experiences I've had a business in my life. Was truly stunned.

Upon having an appointment at 2 o’clock, I did not get seen until 230. The dealership was pretty empty. They were concentrating on doing payroll and other things besides waiting on me I’ll give you a three because they were friendly, but the service is poor.

I brought my car in for a recall & my onstar module not working at 9 am I went the whole day without hearing about my car until I called & which that had not done anything to the vehicle in over 8 hours of it being there staying they would have to keep it longer to figure out what’s going on . Very unprofessional I wouldn’t have had a update unless I called my self

I go in to get new tires with wheel locks on the car Dianna at James Martin quoted me for and was told it would be a few days and I was fine with leaving my car there I get there I tell the gentleman that took care of me I’m also having a problem with my traction control and would like that checked out he calls me a tells me some of my lug nuts are rusted on so I said that fine I need the tires I would buy new ones with you guys I’m not worried about the price I need it done can you call me with a price well o get a call the next day saying my car is ready o pick it up with my 6 yr old son as we are driving home I’m looking for my wheel lock key I left on the seat for them when I dropped it off so I call back to tell them I’m missing it and also was not happy I noticed my change was taken and my center council was gone through so I told the gentleman that took care of me as he took my number down to call me back but I ended going back up there thank god I did because as the service writer failed to tell me they cut off my wheel locks which is not a big deal but I would of liked to have them on and I would have pitched a new set but he failed to communicate with me and on top of that I noticed that my lung nuts all of them on the passenger side of the car were loose I took it off by hand infront of Dianna and said this is not supposed to happen I should’ve never left the shop like this when I come to get tires her response was it was only one my wheels wouldn’t of fell off I could believe it but all of them were loose as she told me to pull it in to tighten I was left sitting there waiting for my tire to get tightened up so I could leave it sat in the bay for about 30 min as the employees were outside smoking cigarettes nothing got done till I told there service writer I just worked 12 hrs and I paid for something that is not done I just want to go home after all that I’m not happy at all with the service I received and regret taking my car there I’m not ever sure if ther alignment is even done right and wind never be back I never expected to get treated like this I even left a message with a manager and still didn’t not get a call back and they didn’t not complete everything in my service request they only did the tires and never looked into the reaction control this had to be the worst experience I’m ever received deal g with a dealership I would expected it to of been more professional

I came in to get my vehicle serviced which I was advised to do by the salesman. He never stated that I would be charged for simple oil changes. Then I was asked about my wheel lock that I didn’t receive the day of purchase I was told yesterday because it’s a used vehicle that I wouldn’t receive one. How does that make sense when I can catch a flat tire and not be able to put the spare tire on without a wheel lock so yes I was dissatisfied with the experience. Communication goes a long way and they dropped the ball.

There service sucks tremendously. The quality of service has gone down bad at this place. The wait time is extremely long even if you get there early in the morning. The quality of work is not all that great they take your money and do a rushed job. I had 4 supposedly brand new tires but the work you can tell was sloppy because I have this white stuff all over my tires. I waited several hours patiently only for my cap to be missing to one of my tires. I also was told one price at the beginning of service which was clarified by Dorothy only to be told a different price at the end of service. The lady Dorothy is very rude with a nasty attitude. Other customers also complained about her saying how rude she was while we sat in the waiting area. She was rolling her eyes at the end of my service and walking in and out of the office discussing the matter further with Diann. Diann comes to Dorothy defense to say it was a honest mistake. She tried to go back and forth with me so i decided to end the conversation as i see we were not going to get anywhere. I don't like nor do drauma and chaos. Thats not an honest mistake when she gave me clarification on the price. As I was leaving Diann sat in her office talking to Ericka about the situation. I will never return to James Martin because that was not my first bad experience with them but will be my last. I guess professionalism has gone down the drain.

This is the second time I have made a appointment due to your staff and emails regarding me getting a oil change. And once I get to the service desk, everyone is in scattering around like I just drop by that day and asked for a oil change. I had an appointment and the previous time, I was contact by one of their staff members to make a appointment. It was never like this before and I truly believe this may be my last time coming to get service there. They are to crowded and can not manage their schedules right with the person who is making the appointments over the phone and online appointments. I also didn't feel like a value customer, as this is where i gotten my car and this is the only place that did service on my vehicle. They have lost a customer with all of this foolishness going on at this place for a simple oil change.

I brought my car in for a tire change. I was told that the antifreeze was leaking into oil causing a problem. I didn't have any warnings from my Chevy 2025. I was told not to drive it. They would keep my car for repair. It was still under warranty. They gave a Equinox 2026 which was electric on Friday. The car must be charged everyday. It cost me about $100 for about four days. It was an inconvenience for me. I talked to a manager and told them I couldn't afford to keep the car and they would guarantee by Wednesday or Thursday to have a gas car. I received a call Wednesday and was told my car is ready for pickup. I called after I got my car because it seems it was shaking and a brake sound. I called and told to bring it in. I did and they took it for a test drive. They found it was ok. I always had excellent service from James Martin Chevrolet. I brought a Chevy Cruise and Chevy Trax. I just had my Chevy Trax since May 2025. I didn't expect any problems at the time. Just want you to know my experience. I have always had good experiences with you all .Thank you
