2022 Chevrolet Silverado-1500
Check out the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 for your next full-size truck. Whether going on an off-road adventure with the family or looking for your next work truck, the Silverado delivers without compromising style or capabilities. These are the features that drivers love about the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
Trims (Exterior)
The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado has nine trims: Work Truck (WT), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, ZR2, LTZ, and High Country. Standard, short, and long bed options are available with the two-door regular cab, four-door crew cab, or four-door extended cab (Double Cab).
The Silverado comes standard with 17-inch steel wheels, rear bumper corner steps, black beltline moldings, locking tailgate, cargo area lighting, and signature LED daytime running lights. The higher models offer many upgrades, including wheel options ranging from 17-inch to 22-inch, chrome assist steps, fog lamps, chrome exterior accents, and heated, power-adjustable mirrors. Chevy's multi-flex tailgate boasts six different functions, allowing more efficient loading and unloading.
Engine (Power)
Chevrolet offers four engines for the 2022 Silverado. The most economical option is the turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission which produces 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. There are also two V-8 options. The first is a 5.3-liter with an eight-speed automatic transmission which garners 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, while the second 6.2-liter with a 10-speed automatic transmission ups the horsepower to 420 and 460 pound-feet of torque. Finally, a turbocharged 2.7-liter with an eight-speed automatic transmission produces 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Towing and payload capacity are two important factors to consider when in the market for a truck. The Silverado had a maximum tow capacity of 13,300 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of 2,270 pounds depending on trim when properly equipped. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but Chevy offers an available four-wheel drive system, allowing for better control and handling. Check out the all-new off-road-ready ZR2 package, offering large underbody aluminum skid plates, 33-inch mud-terrain tires, front-rear electronic locking differential, and an off-road cut front bumper to allow for more clearance.
Interior
The 2022 Silverado offers an interior focused on the essentials, including comfort and functionality. The front seat has a 40/20/40 split-bench, providing extra storage within the armrest and lockable under-seat storage. Other standard features include a 7-inch color touch-screen infotainment system that can pair to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a six-speaker audio system, power windows, rubberized vinyl flooring, remote keyless entry, and push-button start.
Upgrade to the LTZ, ZR2, or High Country to enjoy a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats, power sunroof, 13.4-inch infotainment system, seven-speaker Bose premium audio system, USB ports, and wireless charging.
Safety
Chevrolet has added many standard safety and driver-assistance features to the 2022 lineup, along with optional features to help keep you and your passengers safe. Chevy Safety Assist is equipped on all models, which includes an advanced air bag system, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and forward collision alert. Upgraded features include a trailer view camera system and HD surround vision. Front and rear park assist are also available, along with Super Cruise, a hands-free driver-assist system.
