2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Whether you need a full-size pickup truck for the job site, to pull your camping trailer to the mountains, or to take the kids to their sports game, the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 gets the job done. Check out the reasons why you want to consider the 2021 Silverado 1500 as your next truck.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
You'll find the perfect Silverado 1500 to fit your budget and lifestyle. You have eight trims to choose from: the Work Truck, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country. Each trim comes with multiple bed and cab configurations so you can build the truck to carry as much cargo or as many passengers as needed. The Multi-Flex Tailgate system lets you access the bed of the truck in various configurations, including the ability to fold it down to create a step.
Engine (Power)
The Silverado 1500 doesn't skimp on powertrain options. The first engine choice is a 4.3-liter V-6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque. With this engine, you get a six-speed automatic transmission. Moving up the power scale is a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 310 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Next up is a 5.3-liter V-8 355-horsepower engine that delivers 348 pound-feet of torque. The last gasoline engine is a 6.2-liter V-8 producing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. If you're looking for a diesel engine, choose the 3.0-liter six-cylinder with 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The 5.3-liter, 6.2-liter, and diesel engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Whether you choose the standard rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, when properly equipped, your Silverado 1500 can tow up to 13,300 pounds with a maximum payload capacity of 2,280 pounds. If you enjoy taking your Silverado on rugged trails, add the available Z71 Off-Road Package to the four-wheel-drive system to get a 2.0-inch lift, a rear locking differential, and a fine-tuned suspension designed to help you drive over obstacles, on muddy trails, or when climbing slippery hills.
Interior
There's plenty of room for up to six people, depending on which cab configuration and bed length you choose. The base Work Truck trim comes with vinyl seats and manual windows, while the premier High Country has leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable seats.
All trims come with Chevrolet's Infotainment 3 system, which gives you Bluetooth, several USB ports, and an available wireless charging pad. Listen to your favorite music using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration or the available SiriusXM satellite radio. For the ultimate listening experience, opt for the premium Bose audio system.
Safety Features
Depending on the trim and driver-assist package, you get a forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and lane mitigations systems. Advanced safety features include adaptive cruise control, parking sensors, and the following distance indicator. If you plan on towing with your Silverado 1500, add the optional Tow Cameras Package on the higher trims to get HD camera views of the trailer.
